Slide is a good club to go to when you just want to relax with a few friends. There are always going to be tons of people there ready to have fun. It is a little mixed sometimes with the crowd, but everyone is there for one reason... FUN! If you like a few less people when you party, hit the venue up on a Thrusday, but make sure you do not have to attend work the next day. |

awesome place, good music, beautiful people. One of the few nice places in the city. Friday and Saturday are the nights to come out here. Right next to Ruby Skye so when this place close at 2 you can go next door and party till 5 in the morning !! |

Not my favorite place, but it's a good spot to go to. It's a little too small for me, but the music is good. However, the whole "slide" concept is cool. It becomes quite comical to watch all of the crazy, drunkies slide down towards the end of the night, that's for sure! |

Don't get table service next to the dance floor and you should be fine. I recommend you get one behind the bar or the far ends of the floor. It was sort of difficult to maneuver in such a crowd next to you. The bar stretches most of the length of the dance floor which makes it easy to get drinks. The lighting isn't grand but creates a comfortable atmosphere. Bonus; well kept mens room :) |

Slide is one of my favorite clubs in the city. The crowd is great & they do a good job of keeping an eye on the ratios. The music isn't bad either. You'll hear anything from Prince to J. Timberlake to MJ to 50 Cent...for the most part, a good mix. |

Slide, I've heard horror stories and I've heard rave reviews. Well, I'm not quite sold on either side...yet. I decided to cash in some EVR points and get a bottle to party and support my buddies Guzie & Solarz.
First thing I had heard, terrible doorman, well not this night. Mike took care of us great. Got us in and seated quickly.
Everything from here on out was kind of eh...
Cocktail waitress was rude and pushy (literally, she would push us out of the way). Must have been a slow night, because I didn't expect some of the people who got in to be able to. Dress code? The thing that killed the night for me was the group that was seated next to us rowdy, spilling things, bumping our seating over. After all of that we decided it was time to leave.
I will be back to experience Slide some more, because as it seemed, it may have just been one of those nights. One thing I will say, beautiful venue. |

Depending on the night it can be hit or miss depending on who's promoting be wary even if there is a line because you never know what your getting until you walk down the stairs. Bottom Line lots of bacherlette parties, diverse crowd & very loud music. |

Attended the White Party at Slide on Friday... and have to say that I was a little disappointed. While the DJ was pretty hot, the crowd wasn't quite the caliber that I was expecting. I'm from Los Angeles and it really seemed that there were a lot of SF-ites posing as LA-ites. Don't get me wrong, there are definietly some beautiful people there, but it just seemed a little fake. Is this the norm for Slide? Boredom set in around 1am, and we were out of there... |

It's a nice and classy place. I love going for a drink and having a really good time with friends. Love the service, love the music, the Djs, etc... I just always have an amazing time. Almost forgot...love the slide they have inside ;P |

I absolutely love Slide, the music has always been fabulous and the bartenders are super friendly. I especially love the guy to girl ratio. I definitely think this club has a way of attracting the right crowd. I have a blast every time! |

I have loved Slide every time I have been into this place. Underneath Ruby Skye, two great night-adventure places in SF. No doubt.
Slide is great because of the way they run it. Plain and simple. The doormen run the place well. No pain-in-the-ass people get it, if they do, they get kicked out. There is Always a ton of good looking people there. 3:1 girl to guy ratio every time I have been there.
Fantastic layout, visually appealing. The DJ's Slide has really get the people dancing. All sorts of music, very well mixed into dancing and fun.
Cell phone service may be tricky, and as soon as you reach "the surface" you will probably be getting those 15 text messages you were waiting for/not expecting.
When Slide closes, head over to Ruby Skye if it's still raging in there. You only have to walk 20 feet.
One of the only main setbacks I can truly say about Slide, is the dance floor area is just absolutely packed. Between there and the bar. Other than that, get into Slide, it's awesome.

I just went to Slide for the Sex and the City Party and had a blast! It was a little hot inside considering the amount of people and being such a hot day but a DJ Donovan was amazing as always and a great crowd. |

Slide is alright. If you ask San Franciscans which club they love/hate the most, they always say Ruby Sky. Everybody loves the music, but sometimes the people are questionable. Slide broke away from this catch 22.
When I first heard of Slide I was concerned with the Ruby Sky connection, plus Bourbon and Branch had just opened with the Speakeasy gimmick. I was finally convinced to check the place out and I was greately impressed. It's an actual dance club, the music is great and the people are awesome. The door guys are the coolest ever and maintain a great ratio inside. The actual slide is sort of lame, but beyond that the place rocks and brings in great talent. |

Ever since Slide opened its doors right next to Ruby Skye I have heard rave reviews about it. That is until I went there myself. The club itself is on the small side and gets too packed where you are squeezed tighter than sardines in a can. Offcourse that is not the only fault. The sound system sounds as if it has been taken out of some teenagers room and placed only on one side. If you are looking to go to an upscale place with a top notch ambiance, this is not the place. |

Great place for a Saturday night. Dance floor did not seem over crowded although there were tons of fun people inside. Apparently a tough door to get into, but I had no problem with an equal guy-girl ratio. Probably the best I have been to in SF. |

The BEST club period. I cannot stop craving about this spot to anyone who asks me "Which is the spot to be in SF?". Equal guy-girl ratio - A guy's dream especially in North America. Music is always awesome. Bartenders are very receptive and girls are very very friendly ;) |

Ah, Slide. The "secret" place beneath Ruby Skye, where, as rumours go, you can get by sliding down ... well, a slide. By the way, there are stairs too, for those ladies afraid to get their knickers in the twist.
There's one huge problem with Slide. It has one of the most discriminating door policies in San Francisco. Perhaps the club owners reckon Slide to be a Vegas-style lounge, or a club so stylish people would feel privileged to enter its sacred gate? Alas, it is none of those things.
Unfortunately, once you are successful at passing through the rather impolite bouncers, you are - well, somewhat disappointed in the quality of clientele. Perhaps because bouncers are obliged to let through everybody they (and the owners, and owner's relatives) know, and then any group of blonde or Asian females numbering over 4, or due to the general lack of beautiful people in San Francisco, all you see once inside is just your regular weekend night crowd. Here are your homely girls, here are your frat boys, here are your velvet-clad hip-hoppers. The place is lacking in decor and gets too crowded for comfort. Oh, and is it claustrophibic! Cluttered underneath the asphalt of Mason Street, its ceilings are low, its lights are dim, and its bartenders are deliberately slow and inefficient.
So - Vegas it is not. The idea of creating a Vegas-style bar in SF is flawed. This City is not Vegas, and thankfully, never will be. If you crave Vegas - hop on a Southwest flight and see the real thing. Otherwise - don't bother. Slide might be your best bet, but it is a poorly made surrogate. |

Slide could not more live up to its reputation and history. The idea of a hush hush, exclusive club during the Prohibition Era is stressed at Slide as not anyone can just walk in. I like this because they keep the sleazy, sloppy drunks out (even the girls!). In my opinion, this is THE premier club to go to in San Francisco. |

Hands down my favorite spot in the city at this point. Music is always on point. System knocks. Good looking crowd. No cover. Strict 50/50 min ratio requirement which I think is fantastic.
Sure, drinks are a *little* expensive, but prices are pretty much inline with other good looking spots in the City.
As I said - my favorite spot in the City and it's not close. |

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The only (-) thing is that it gets crowded fast and it can get tough to move about. The black and amber glowing bar makes the wait for a drink bearable. On any night, the music and deejays have been awesome (Fedde Le Grand was the DJ the first time I visited). The crowd is upscale and generally nice. Also, the doormen aren't so bad. ;-) And I love the fact that the ladies room is never crowded! This is the first SF club that most resembles Hollywood. |

This place is such a blast! The weekend after Valentines Day was super fun - plates of chocolate covered strawberries and cotton candy floating around the bar. Very cool venue.
Note ~ If you're a girl and you want to do the slide, sometimes the bouncers are strict about making you wear pants. May be obvious, but just in case. =) |

Be careful going down the slide! The momentum you gain will burn your skin off. No problem though cause you can shake it off on the dance floor which is always bumping. We usually dance through the night close to close time. |

Slide is definitely a unique place in the city. What other place do you know that has a real slide that takes you to its underground lair? Be careful, as the ride is a lot more bumpy than it looks! If you'd rather skip the slide, you can always just take the stairs. The layout is nice, though the dance floor is a bit small and can get overly crowded on weekends. Your best bet is to get a table if you're in a large group. The music selection varies, but never disappoints. |

First off, I'll state the obvious... the slide entrance was great.
Positives: Not having to wait in line extra great, a good DJ extra-extra great.
Negatives: Good music with no dedicated dance floor just a bunch of people standing around holding drinks (and spilling drinks) and kind of swaying to the beat is crappy. Extra crappy bartenders that serve weak drinks and at the stroke of midnight pour weaker drinks in smaller glasses and charge you more money. SUPER CRAPTASTIC!!!!

Where do I begin! Style, Atmosphere, words can not give this venue enough justice! I was fortunate enough to have been invited to this amazing venue for its soft opening, and I have not stop going since! There are many venues in this city, but few have managed to captivate both in such a nostalgic manner. From the grand piano DJ booth to the illuminated marble bar, Slide is truly one of a kind! I love this place and you will too!!! |

My new favorite place, I know Slide has been around for some time now but I just celebrated my birthday there and must say their customer service was excellent! Not only did my party not have to wait very long at the door (and we had 17 people in our group) but they had our table ready and bottles setup in no time. Besides that the place is chic and classy. I'm not a huge fan of big clubs anymore so their atmosphere is right up my alley. Every time I've been there I've always had a fun night. |

Sexy, very sexy. Everytime I go here it's a great time. The beats are always great for dancing and people watching. I love the fact that it's underneath the ground--makes it a bit mysterious and low key. The slide is an added bonus especially when you've had a drink, or three... It's classy, sophisticated and fun!

There wasn't really anything special about Slide except for... umm... the slide. One thing I noticed was that it was really really small. I've heard people like it because it's "exclusive"... but I just don't see what's so great about it. We couldn't even find it for the longest time. We probably walked by the front entrance 3 times before finally asking someone where Slide was (and embarrassingly enough... we were standing right in front of it). One thing I really enjoyed was that we were able to sit down without having to buy a table. For that reason, and for that reason alone... I gave it a 4. |

And on the 8th day god made Slides, and the people came, and they saw it was good. Slides is a good example of constraint optimization, the constraint being lack of space, the optimization being what they do with the space they have. Good music, good bartenders, and a friendly, generally upscale crowd make for a good environment. In a perfect world it would have a little more space, but on the brighter side I've always found small spaces bring people together. |

Slide is cool, and most importantly it is right next door to Ruby Skye. The two clubs' vibes are completely different, Slide being essentially an upscale bar. The layout is great, and the Slide its named after is a fun way to enter (be warned ladies; they won't let you go down unless you're wearing pants of some kind. no dresses on the slide at Slide.) When Donovan's involved the place is a different animal entirely, and the place gets even better. |

I thought for the most part that the club was fun, but I think the DJ changed music too quickly, We got a table which made it comfortable for those of us who were exhausted of dancing, but random people started sitting in our table area, and it was tough to get them out. We finally had to ask a bouncer to get them kicked out of the table. Another thing, the ratio is definitely skewed, more girls than guys, which is fine for me, but for my single friends, didnt work out so well :) |

Slide is the it-club on Thursdays with Donovan. Unless there's something very special going on at another venue this is the only place to be. Make sure to get on the list beforehand, however, as the bouncers can be anywhere between strict and rude, but once you're in it's a wonderful atmosphere. The crowd is more upscale and the ratio is strictly kept (unfortunately the bouncers don't care too much if the girls are actually hot so long as its 50/50). The booth layout is great too - giving you a very private nook right off the dancefloor. The weekend DJs are as good as anywhere, and most importantly consistent in quality, but without Donovan the crowd goes down one notch. |

Slide is one of my fav lounges/clubs/nightspots in the bay area. It is probably one of the only venues where girls outnumber guys inside the club on a daily basis. What is better than that? You gotta love the slide thing to enter the dance floor; Bartenders are receptive and quick; Drinks are the average price you see anywhere else; Bottle Service is excellent - The only thing negative about Slide is that its really small - but then the founder, Jon Abrams did not have a megaclub in mind - he pry wanted a small private lounge where not everyone can get in

Slide.....into a booth and drink away!!! This is the place to be on Thursday nights when Donovan is puttin down his signature beats. I love the way the place is set up with a perimeter of booths for bottle service, people watching, snugglin.....did I just say that? I've never had a bad time at this place, but be warned..Friday and Saturday nights don't have near the cool crowd that Thursday nights bring into this place. |

The most consistent venue since Sammy Sosa's swing in the 90s. When friends ask for my 2 cents on where to go this weekend, it's always win-win with Slide. It starts from the front door all the way to the belvedere/red bulls at the bar. The door-man does a great job of keeping a good crowd. The management ensures the dance floor never misses a beat with new Djs every week. For myself, someone who likes an eclectic mix of music, I really enjoy the music. The fact that Slide does not charge a cover is a great incentive to stop by for a drink, or even make it the destination for the evening. |

Ok I don't like it at all! Its way too small, too dark, and not enough seating. The crowd was not that great either. The park lounge in sac is the best to try if you head up that way, this place is decorated nice but over all I was bored. |

Slide. A real -life Prohibition Playground of the past. What is it about this place that I have never failed to have a good night here? Is it the awesome staff (especially Carolina, the slide operator:)? How about the awesome owners? Maybe it's the hot and talented Dj's? The security and the door guy are pretty hot, too. Hmmmmm, the rich brown and glowing yellow decor, the drinks....the slide itself? I'm baffled. All I can say is...go to Slide for a good time, I promise one of the above mentioned nouns will blow your mind :) |

Slide is a revamped "speak-easy" with an actual slide that brings you down into the club, right next to Ruby Skye. The lounge is beautifully decorated (down to the restrooms which is a huge plus...right girls?), the club is classy, intimate, and the owners & staff are friendly. There's always good music whether its Chris Clouse, Donovan, DJ Mei Lwen, DJ Solomon or a special guest like Moby. Get a table if you have a party of 4 or more, its better that way. They got it right since it opened Sept 2006 & its been going strong weekly since then. It's one of the best crowds & classiest clubs in the city. |

I hadn't heard too much about SLIDE but after going there I absolutely loved it. Beautiful Decor & Beautiful people. The Bartenders are awesome, everything was on point. Cannot wait to go again! |

What can I say about SLIDE that hasn't been said! Well, this venue probably has the best looking crowd I have ever seen in the bay area. They will only let you in if you have a female with you.... which is they way every club should operate! I would highly recommend this club..... if you are lucky enough to get in!

Slide is a very pleasurable venue to take your friends. That is assuming that your ratios are correct. The club is laid out very nice. Baby grand piano, extra large bar and comfortable VIP lounges are all very inviting and pleasant. If you want to get beat-up or watch your friends? get beat-up going down the mahogany wooden slide, be my guest. Make sure you keep your elbows up and try not to hit your head at the entry. Drinks are reasonably priced and stout. The DJ is usually excellent and the patrons are also well behaved, usually. For an entertaining time that goes against the grain (pardon the pun) Slide is a ride one must take. |

Slide has become Saturday Entertainment in SF. You can expect a blend of a high quality atmosphere, beautiful people, great music, and the best bartenders and servers in the bay. Its consistently a good time, make sure to get ready to party. Parking is difficult in the area or can be expensive, I would recommend a cab. They have wonderful tables and bottle service, I would suggest champagne. |

Fun place, nice inside, convenient location with nearby garage parking. It is rather small and it gets hot inside. However, the crowd is nice and music is good so it makes it worth it. |

I went to Slide for a party hosted by Nate Mezmer and Mixed Elements last Friday. The club was filled with fabulous people and fabulous music, which is what I expect at Slide and from Nate/ME. Always a good time! |

Went to "Slide" for the first time. Chris Clouse was playing. Was a great evening. Beautiful decor. But..... Dammit if that freakin slide was steep! Will definately be back again. |

While small, the club is nicely decorated and their table service is good. However, the music on the night I went was terrible, all poorly constructed "mashups, " the DJ only played 3 decent songs all night, and manged to ruin one of them by mashing it with an ABBA song. He also refused to take any requests, and didn't seem to mind that only 3 or 4 people were dancing and most people were leaving. I could have done a better job with my IPOD. |

Currently my fav place. I hosted my fiances b day party here on Sat. Slide offers beautiful decor and great surroundings. VIP bottle service was on awesome. Hey, any place that Jerry Rice likes is good enough for me!!

I have been to this venue twice now and maybe I keep hitting the wrong night. I went on both a Friday and a Sat a few weeks after and on both nights, the music was terrible. Last night I walked in to the DJ playing "It takes two". The club itself is decorated beautifully and the sound system is good. I would like to hit this place on a night where they are playing house but haven't been lucky yet. Crowd's okay - there is a good ratio of guys to girls. |

Slide is currently the best upscale lounge in the city. The drinks are ridiculously stiff and the ambiance amazing with dark mahogany and marble. Slide seems to be one of the first lounge to really stick to the guy/girl ratio rule of Vegas/LA/NYC, which is a great thing once you're inside to appreciate this. And with Donovan playing on Thursdays, it's hard to beat this place. |

Slide is a small club that packs a big punch..Nitched next to Ruby Sky, you'll see the line forming out the door!! It has a very upscale apeal and gret energy, most everyone is dancin all night long!!!! If you head down make sure you have a table so you can chill, seating is very limited... ; ) |

I've been to Slide once and can I just tell you how excited I was to see that there was an ACTUAL SLIDE there! Wow! I thought it was just another name but no there is a reason for it, and YES I did ride the slide! AWESOME experience! It's really really fast and kinda scary but when you get to the bottom (like any other slide or roller coaster for that matter) you just want to do it all over again! I really had a great time at this venue. The people were positive and the music was deep, sexy, soulful house! Definately my cup of tea!! The booths around the outside of the dance floor are a little odd but the small upper sitting area is the perfect size and location to both chill and dance!
P.S. Michael you're right the bathrooms are nice! And clean too!!! |

ATTENTION ALL: DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT slide down their slide if you've had one too many drinks. Slide may cause ouchies. It's like the hardest mahogany I swear lol. I woke up the next morning thinking, "Ouch I must have fallen last night." Negative! So ladies, while sliding down the, rather large mahogany monster, please do raise both elbows as if @ a Tiesto concert screaming "wooooo whooooo." None the less GREAT place, small but a guranteed blast! |

I LOVE SLIDE!!! any club that has something(the slide ;)) to throw you off of a typical "club" scene is HOT! The atmosphere and staff was great. There is enough room for you to mingle and dance, and from the entrance to the restrooms the look was on point. It's DEFINITELY a hot spot! |

I've been to Slide twice now. Besides coming equipped with world class furnishings, Slide features three very noteworthy attributes. 1) The slide 2) The bar 3) The bathroom. Having a slide as an alternative entry into a club is actually pretty cool. Not sure if I would use it for fear of falling victim to an unsavory landing ... however, knowing that it's there is good enough. The bar is one of the nicest I have seen. The black and amber glowing bar certainly stand out. Lastly, the bathroom. It's strange for one to single out the bathrooms for a review but I couldn't leave them out. They are nice. Slide will be the 'spot' for ?loungey? gatherings for some time. 5 out of 5 from me. |

Where Classy meets Sassy...New meets Old. Great atmosphere, excellent bottle service. Don't forget to check out their infamous drink menu. Definitely the new hot spot in Union Square. |
